Educatus was founded by Dr John Griffiths to provide independent advice for University and VET/TAFE study choices to individuals of all backgrounds.
John is an expert in admissions to post-school education and training, having previously been the chief executive officer of the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC).
As the architect of the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) scheme in Queensland, he has unique insights into ways to optimise ATAR scores for university entry, as well as the alternative pathways to a university degree or a vocational education and training course.
As a father, John has first-hand experience of young people’s challenges as they transfer from school to further education - be it university, TAFE or an apprenticeship.
A champion of lifelong learning, John believes that the “ATAR doesn’t define you”, and values different paths to success.
John holds a PhD from Monash University and postgraduate qualifications in accounting, executive leadership, and career counselling.
